Founded by people with AIDS to provide treatment, resources, and prevention

International
Association of Physicians in AIDS Care
IAPAC provides educational services to its membership on clinical
practices in managing HIV and its complications, while also developing
innovative public healthcare policies that reflect its membership's
commitment to changing the course of the HIV pandemic.

Center for AIDS Prevention Studies
CAPS at the University of California, San Francisco is committed to
maintaining a focus on the prevention of HIV disease.
The Body
Information resource featuring the basics on What is AIDS, Prevention,
Testing, and what to do when you learn you're HIV positive. Also features
forums to connect with other HIV+ persons, and the opportunity to
ask questions of leading AIDS experts.
HIV InSite
Features a prevention section whose goal is to help service providers,
researchers, educators and others build stronger programs and studies
in the effort to prevent HIV infections.
Activism and Advocacy:
The American Civil Liberties Union HIV / AIDS Information
This site includes resources on HIV/AIDS and Civil Liberties, an index
of ACLU materials on AIDS, recent ACLU news on HIV/AIDS issues and
the ACLU News Database with specific AIDS topics and cases.
ACT UP
The AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power is a diverse, non-partisan group
of individuals united in anger and committed to direct action to end
the AIDS crisis with chapters throughout the world.
National AIDS Treatment Advocacy Project
The National AIDS Treatment Advocacy Project advocates on treatment
and policy issues for people with HIV and with drug companies, government
officials (including FDA) and other treatment and policy advocates.
Women Alive
Women Alive is a program of Being Alive; People with HIV/AIDS Action
Coalition, supporting programs created by and for women living with
HIV/AIDS.
AIDS in Prison Project
The AIDS in Prison Project was established in 1986, becoming one of
the first organizations to recognize that prisons and jails were epicenters
of HIV seroconversion and disease.
TAG
Founded in 1992, the Treatment Action Group (TAG) is dedicated to
advocating for larger and more efficient research efforts, both public
and private, towards finding a cure for AIDS. Their site features
articles and reports on research and policy from 1994 through the
present.

The American Foundation for AIDS Research
AmFAR is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to
the support of AIDS research (both basic-biomedical and clinical research),
AIDS prevention, and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy.
National Minority AIDS Council
NMAC has been the premier national AIDS organization specifically
developing its programs and services for community based organizations
serving people of color affected by HIV/AIDS.
