Seun Kuti at SOBs & The Ghosts of Musics Past
Posted on August 16, 2011
There might be ghosts in the Red Hot offices here on Madison Avenue. Skeptics could point to our imagination transforming the flukes of a New York building into evidence for incorporeal occupation but inexplicably warm – aren’t ghosts supposed to be cold? – file cabinets and mysterious opening elevator doors hint at an unseen presence. And maybe we just want to believe. Last week an elevator down from the Red Hot offices opened to nobody – but the presence of the late afrobeat legend Fela Kuti was noted (“we had to let Fela join us”).
The Black President has been around these days.
